MC3246

Offering a larger area than the MC3232, the MC3246 is a three-channel platform force sensor designed for drop testing of landing gear mechanisms. The top plate of this transducer is a relatively low mass, which yields high vertical and horizontal natural frequencies. This feature makes the MC3246 the perfect instrument for analyzing high speed impacts with elite accuracy.

The MC3246 has a 32 x 46 in. surface area and is available in 100,000, 150,000 and 200,000 lb vertical force capacities (see Specifications Tables). The resistive foil-type strain gages and 4-arm Wheatstone bridges optimize measurement accuracy within the 6061-T6 aluminum instrument body. An anodized finish provides further protection from environmental and industrial conditions.

This sensor also includes hold-down mounting holds on the top and bottom surfaces, yielding maximum stiffness while minimizing inherent crosstalk and excessive zero shift.
