MC3232

This platform-type force transducer is the most popular sensor for measuring aircraft landing gear tire impact forces. Featuring a 50,000 lb vertical force capacity, the MC3232 is manufactured from high strength aluminum with an anodized finish. This rugged transducer is smaller than the MC3246, measuring 32 x 32 x 9.5 in.

The MC3232 is equipped with 9 mounting holes on its top surface, and 8 hold-down holes on the base. When mounted, the MC3232 yields minimal zero shift and maximum stiffness for optimal measurement analysis. The sensing elements in this sensor use resistive foil-type strain gages and independent four arm Wheatstone bridges to provide the 6 outputs with low inherent crosstalk. A closed cell PVC foam strip is also included for splash-proof and dirt protection.
