AMTI at SWACSM 2025 in Burbank: Powering Movement Science

The AMTI team is excited to join the Southwest Chapter of the the American College of Sports Medicine (SWACSM) for their 2025 Annual Meeting, held October 17–18 at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport in Burbank, CA.

Why SWACSM Matters

As the regional ACSM chapter for Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah, SWACSM plays a key role in fostering research, education, and collaboration in sports medicine and exercise science across the Southwest. Its mission is to help bridge academic, clinical, and practical aspects of human performance and health.

The annual SWACSM meeting is more than just a gathering. It’s a platform for sharing new science, developing future leaders, and connecting with peers who are pushing boundaries in movement science.

What’s on the Agenda

This year’s meeting offers a packed program designed to appeal to a wide range of attendees, including:

  • Keynote talks and symposia on hot topics like the role of the menstrual cycle in female athletic performance, cannabis’ health impacts, psycho-cardiovascular effects in top-level E-sports athletes, and more.

  • Poster sessions (Friday evening & Saturday mid-day) where researchers of all levels have the opportunity to present their latest work.

  • Workshops, networking opportunities, and chances to explore new technologies via exhibitors and sponsors (like AMTI!).

What AMTI Brings to the Table

At AMTI, we believe that precise, data-driven insights are critical to advancing movement science. We’ve come to SWACSM as active contributors and partners to the research, clinical, and sports science communities.

Here’s what you can expect from us over the next couple of days:

  • Booth Showcase: Stop by the AMTI booth to chat about how our biomechanics force platforms and instrumented treadmills can support your next study, lab upgrade, or research project.

  • Dialogue & Feedback: We’re here to listen — to hear pain points, emerging needs, and new research questions. Our team is ready to brainstorm with you on customizing solutions.

  • Networking & Collaboration: Whether you’re a grad student, clinician, or industry innovator, we welcome the chance to connect.

Let’s Make These Days Count

If you’re attending SWACSM — whether presenting, judging posters, or just soaking in new ideas — we’d love to meet you in person. Drop by our booth, say hi, and let’s talk about the things that excite you in biomechanics, human performance, and movement research.

Here’s to two days of learning, innovating, and pushing the boundaries together.
