What is ‘Power over Ethernet’ ?
Epsilon’s Power over Ethernet (PoE) architecture allows both power and digital data to be delivered through a single standard Ethernet (CAT) cable. This modern connectivity solution provides robust, high-speed digital communication and precise synchronization across large-scale installations, all while reducing cable management, supporting longer cable runs, and simplifying installation.
Networked Force Measurement.
Epsilon’s networked architecture enables synchronized data acquisition across 50+ force plates and multiple host computers.
Every force plate can be accessed from any authorized computer on the network, providing greater flexibility for data collection in multi-use spaces/facilities, system monitoring, and lab management.
Scale seamlessly as your lab grows.
Optima Calibration Technology
At the core of both Epsilon and previous generation Optima force plate systems is AMTI’s patented Optima Calibration Technology, trusted by researchers worldwide for its exceptional measurement accuracy and precision. Every force plate system featuring Optima technology undergoes an extensive calibration and verification process across the entire force plate surface to ensure outstanding accuracy, repeatability, and performance.
Powered by Optima 2.0
Epsilon advances this foundation with Optima 2.0, the next evolution of AMTI’s patented Optima calibration technology, combined with internal electronics and Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity. Together, these advancements deliver the highest accuracy at even faster speeds than previous generations of AMTI force plates.
High Accuracy → High Speed
Optima 2.0 builds on the innovations of AMTI’s original Optima calibration technology to deliver our highest standard of measurement accuracy across every Epsilon force plate system.
It also increases the digital output rate to 2000 Hz (a +67% increase from Optima systems) and improves edge accuracy on even our largest platforms.
Industry-leading accuracy. Now at even higher speeds.
10x Less Noise. See the Difference.
Epsilon achieves 10x lower signal noise than previous-generation force plates, providing milli-Newton resolution and exceptional measurement quality across the entire measurement range. High-resolution data is maintained without the need for gain adjustments, making setup simpler and measurements more reliable.

Upgrade Existing Optima Systems.
Already have an Optima system? Trade in your existing Optima force plate system to unlock the full capabilities of Epsilon.
Alternatively, existing Optima amplifiers (OPT-SC) can be upgraded to Epsilon (EPS-SC) for compatibility with Epsilon systems while preserving your existing Optima plates.
Updated AMTI SDK for Seamless Integration.
Epsilon systems support Windows integration at launch, with Linux, macOS, and mobile compatibility planned for future releases.
A comprehensive suite of sample programs simplifies software development, while backward compatibility allows existing integrations to continue working with minimal changes.
